Ari Bergman, LLB(Hons), BA(Hons) - Chairman Ari is the non-executive Chairman and Company Secretary of Simavita Holdings Ltd and he is the son of the late Dr Fred Bergman, inventor of SIM® and founder of the company. Ari has been a Director of the company since its establishment. He took over the direction of the business on the untimely passing of his father in 2005. Ari is a corporate lawyer who has spent the last six years as General Counsel and Company Secretary of the Spotlight Group of companies, one of Australia’s largest and most diverse private groups which includes the Spotlight, Anaconda, and RSEA retail chains, and a large property portfolio, in addition to a variety of other businesses. Prior to these roles, Ari worked as a commercial lawyer in private practice at one of Australia’s most prestigious law firms.
Philippa Lewis - Chief Executive Officer Philippa is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Simavita Holdings Ltd. Prior to this, Philippa was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Sanicare, an Australasian import and distribution business for textile based and non-woven adult incontinence products. Under her guidance, Sanicare has grown to be a market leader with over $20M in turnover. In 2005 she sold the business to a FTSE-listed entity, staying on as CEO and Director for a few years thereafter. Philippa has had over 30 years of local and international business experience across multiple industry sectors including retail, healthcare, construction, international technology transfer, franchising, patent management, import, distribution and manufacturing. In 2002 Philippa was recognised as one of the Zurich Business Leaders of the Year.
Philip Johnstone - Finance Director Philip is a Director of Simavita Holdings Limited. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia with over 30 years experience as a practising accountant. In addition, Philip has had extensive experience as a Finance Director and consultant in various industries associated with road transport, commercial refrigeration, DIY hardware, importing and distribution, rural industry in irrigation farming and commercial cattle breeding, and importing and distribution of incontinence and associated products to the aged care sector in Australia and New Zealand.
Max Lloyd-Jones – Director Max is a Director of Simavita Holdings Limited. He has a wealth of business experience at board level, building on his skills and capabilities across a wide range of functional areas and his belief in empowering people. Max provides coaching, mentoring and high-level support to company boards, CEOs and senior leaders, helping them integrate safety into their business and managing processes. Max is the Managing Director of the Lloyd-Jones Meakin Group. Under his leadership, the group has assisted major Australian and global organisations rapidly shift their culture and improve their performance, using safety as a business driver. His key strengths are his ability to formulate and implement strategic plans, swiftly reshape business portfolios for profitable growth and promote organisational cultures that focus on productivity, while ensuring a sustainable business model.
